BUK Opens NELFUND Application Window for 2025/2026

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has announced a fresh application window for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) aimed at the 2025/2026 academic session. This decision was communicated in a special bulletin issued on a Saturday in Kano, signed on behalf of the registrar by Lamara Garba, the Director of Public Affairs.

The reopening of the application portal follows requests from university management to provide eligible students with the opportunity to benefit from the scheme. The application window will be open from May 8 to May 29, 2024, allowing students to complete their applications.

Garba emphasized the importance of carefully uploading required documents to avoid delays or disqualification. Students are also advised to submit separate applications if needed and to refrain from using microfinance wallet accounts for their applications.

It is crucial for applicants to ensure their email addresses are accurate and to keep their passwords secure, as they will need access to the portal to track their application status.
