Burna Boy becomes first African artiste with 7 Billboard Hot 100 entries

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has made history by becoming the first African artist to have seven entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His latest entry is a collaboration with American rapper Gunna on the track "WGFT" from Gunna's new album "Last Wun," which debuted at number 96.

Burna Boy is also the first African artist to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five consecutive years, from 2021 to 2025. This achievement follows his first appearance on the chart in 2021 with "Loved" featuring Justin Bieber, and his solo debut in 2022, peaking at number 44 with "Last Last." Burna Boy also holds the record for the most entries by an African artist on the UK Singles Chart with 26 and the Canadian Hot 100 with 11.
