Pastor Ibiyeomie Critiques Ban on Bus Preaching in Nigeria

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries, condemned the recent ban on preaching in commercial buses, asserting that it represents unequal treatment of Christians. He emphasized that Christians should have the same freedom to practice their faith publicly as Muslims do, stating, “If Muslims can also raise their microphone, we are free to preach.” Ibiyeomie warned that there are efforts to transform Nigeria into an Islamic nation, which he believes will ultimately fail.

He expressed concern over the silence of many Christian leaders, suggesting that some have compromised their independence due to political patronage. He criticized the current political climate, noting that many religious leaders who were vocal during former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration have become quiet amid ongoing challenges.

Ibiyeomie declared his commitment to speaking out against any discrimination towards Christianity in Nigeria, insisting that he would not allow the faith to be humiliated.
