Business Leaders Promote Generosity at Lagos Forum

The Lagos Business Journey forum, themed "Wealth, Wisdom, Legacy: Building Impact Beyond Profit," was held at the Lagos Marriott Hotel in Ikeja. Business leaders, including Pastor Patrick Obumselu and Allen Onyema, discussed the importance of generosity in reshaping business leadership and community development.

Research from the University of California was referenced, indicating that acts of generosity are linked to improved health outcomes and longer life spans. Pastor Obumselu emphasized that wealth should be viewed as a stewardship responsibility rather than merely a financial accumulation.

The event featured a documentary titled "Hand Rice," showcasing a tradition in Mizoram, India, where families donate rice to support vulnerable households. Mathew Nevil, co-founder of Generous Path, urged attendees not to postpone generosity until financial success is achieved.

Pastor Regina Ezenwa shared her ministry's outreach, which supports 3,000 widows with welfare and educational initiatives. Elvi Githinji presented the Sub-Saharan Africa 2025 Global Impact Report, highlighting significant community impacts across 12 African countries.
