Gombe Governor Inuwa Yahaya Praises Bye-Election Process

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency bye-election, describing it as peaceful and well-organized. After voting at the Yahaya Umaru 010 polling unit, he noted an encouraging turnout despite the bye-election status.

Reports from the three local government areas—Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye—indicated that the election was progressing smoothly. Yahaya stated, “People are happy and I know my party is going to make it.” Jamilu Gwamna, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election's conduct, expressing confidence that the 2027 general elections would be even better organized.

Usman Kallamu, the APC candidate for the constituency, also expressed satisfaction with the election's conduct and reported encouraging turnout at his polling location in Duban Fulani, stating, “My expectation is to win.”.
