CAF Increases AFCON 2025 Prize Money to $10 Million

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed an increase in prize money for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with the winning team set to take home $10 million. The announcement was made by CAF President Patrice Motsepe during a media interaction in Rabat, Morocco.

The previous edition was won by Ivory Coast, who received $7 million, while Nigeria, the runner-up, was rewarded $4 million. The upcoming AFCON 2025 final will be held in Morocco, with the competition set to kick off on a Sunday.

The host country, Morocco, will face Comoros in the opening game.
