CAF Increases Confederation Cup Prize Money for 2025/26

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved an increase in the prize money for the Confederation Cup, which will take effect in the 2025/26 season. The CAF Executive Committee announced that the winner of the competition will earn $4 million, while the runner-up will receive $1 million.

Teams that lose in the semi-finals will earn $750,000, and clubs eliminated in the quarter-final stage will benefit from a payout of $550,000 each. This increment is part of a broader effort by CAF to boost the commercial value of the competition and improve club football across Africa.

The Confederation Cup, regarded as Africa's second-tier club competition, has gained increased prominence in recent years, and the enhanced prize fund is expected to heighten competition in the upcoming campaign.
