CAN Urges Empathetic Governance Amid Economic Hardships

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), under the leadership of President Daniel Okoh, has called on political leaders to adopt an empathetic, people-focused approach to governance, particularly in response to the economic hardships currently faced by Nigerians. In a statement marking Palm Sunday, Okoh highlighted the pressing socio-economic realities that necessitate leadership prioritizing restraint and compassion.

During a celebration in Ilorin, he addressed the economic challenges affecting households and businesses, including high fuel costs and persistent electricity shortages.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq encouraged citizens to show love and solidarity, while Rev. Timothy Oluwagbemig Akangb and former Secretary of State Olusola Ajolor called for stronger measures to tackle insecurity.
