CAN Urges National Unity and Reset Amid Challenges

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), under the leadership of Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has issued a call for Nigerians to embrace unity and a national reset in light of the ongoing economic and security challenges facing the country. In a congratulatory message released on Friday, Archbishop Okoh extended warm wishes to the Muslim community at the conclusion of Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of the values of kindness, sacrifice, and care for the vulnerable during this period.

He highlighted the need for Nigerians to reject division and prioritize dialogue and trust to heal the nation. The statement also acknowledged the difficult realities faced by the country, urging citizens to draw strength from their diversity rather than allowing it to become a source of friction.

CAN joined its Muslim counterparts in praying for divine intervention for peace and improved security across the region, while also calling for ethical governance during these challenging times.
