Canada Unveils Five Immigration Programmes for Foreigners

Canada has announced five regional immigration programmes designed for foreign nationals seeking to relocate within the country. These programmes, published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), aim to meet specific regional labour and settlement needs.

The five programmes include: 1) Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), allowing provinces and territories to nominate candidates based on local economic needs; 2) Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), targeting skilled workers and international graduates for settlement in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island; 3) Quebec Investors and Entrepreneurs, aimed at business-minded individuals looking to invest in Quebec; 4) Rural and Francophone Community Immigration Pilots, directing newcomers to rural and French-speaking areas facing workforce shortages; and 5) Quebec-Selected Skilled Workers, where Quebec independently selects skilled workers based on its criteria. Each programme has distinct eligibility requirements and application procedures.
