Canada’s IRCC Lists Approved Employers for Immigration Program

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced the availability of a list of employers approved to hire foreign workers under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). This initiative targets labor shortages in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador by connecting qualified foreign candidates with vetted employers.

Two categories of candidates are eligible: skilled foreign workers with relevant experience in high-demand roles and international graduates from recognized institutions in the provinces. Candidates must secure a job offer from an approved employer, which ensures that the hiring process is regulated and transparent.

Notably, candidates can apply for a temporary work permit while their permanent residency applications are processed, provided they have a qualifying job offer and an official referral letter from the relevant province. The program aims to facilitate the relocation of skilled workers and their families without waiting for full residency approval.
