Dani Carvajal to Depart Real Madrid After 23 Years

Dani Carvajal, the captain of Real Madrid, will depart the club at the end of the current season, concluding a remarkable 23-year tenure. The 34-year-old right back, who joined Real Madrid's academy in 2002, made his first team debut in 2013.

Over his career, he has made 450 appearances and scored 14 goals. Carvajal has been instrumental in Real Madrid's success, winning 27 titles, including six UEFA Champions League trophies, four La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, and multiple international honors with the Spanish national team.

He has earned 51 caps and contributed to Spain's victory in the 2023 UEFA Nations League. Real Madrid will finish the season trophyless for the second consecutive year, and a tribute to Carvajal will take place during the final La Liga match against Athletic Club at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, May 23, 2024.
