LCCI Symposium to Explore Vehicle Financing Solutions

The Auto Sectoral Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is organizing a symposium on September 17, 2026, at the Henry Fajemirokun Hall in Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme is “From Subsidy to Credit: Can Vehicle Financing Replace Fuel Subsidy as Nigeria’s Mobility Equalizer?” The event aims to address the rising costs of vehicle ownership and transportation, exploring how a structured vehicle-financing ecosystem could enhance access to affordable mobility for Nigerians.

Dr Femi Eghuaikhide, Chairman of the LCCI Auto Sectoral and Allied Group and Deputy Managing Director of R.T. Briscoe Nigeria Plc, emphasized the need for sustainable mobility solutions beyond fuel subsidies.

The symposium will also tackle challenges in automotive finance, such as high interest rates and limited financing products. Austin Akpovili, Chairman of the Symposium Organising Committee and Chief Operating Officer at Bras Motors Limited, expressed optimism for actionable recommendations from the discussions.
