Portable Claims Unfair Treatment After Boxing Loss

Portable, the afrobeat singer, reacted angrily after his defeat to skit maker Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing match held in Lagos. During a live Instagram session shortly after the fight, Portable insisted that he was treated unfairly, claiming that the contest was not judged properly.

He accused the organizers of bias, stating that Carter Efe was not professional enough and that his height and reach gave him an unfair advantage. Portable questioned why certain punches were not counted and alleged that the organizers were more interested in streaming the event for profit, with a claimed amount of N200 million.

He further accused the officiating of ignoring punches and described the match as biased against him. Despite the loss, he focused on personal matters, revealing that his wife had just given birth to a bouncing baby boy.

The bout, held at the Balmor Convention Centre, ended with a unanimous decision victory for Carter Efe, with judges scoring the fight 27-30 in favor of Carter Efe.
