Portable and Charles Okocha Set for Boxing Rematch

Nigerian street pop star Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, will return to the boxing ring on July 31 for a highly anticipated rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha. This celebratory boxing bout is scheduled to take place at Balmor Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Portable previously lost the celebratory boxing title to comedian Carter Ef, with the judges scoring the match 30-27 in favor of Carter Ef, marking Portable's first defeat in celebratory boxing. The rematch against Okocha is expected to draw significant attention, as it aims to settle a long-standing rivalry that began in 2023 over a business transaction dispute involving 40 million naira.

The first encounter between Portable and Okocha took place at Landmark Beach, where Portable was declared the winner after four competitive rounds. Okocha has repeatedly demanded a fair opportunity to face Portable again, insisting that the first match did not yield a fair result.

The upcoming fight is anticipated to attract boxing fans and entertainment lovers across the country.
