Despite Arsenal's struggles with finishing, Odegaard's goal, a fine finish from outside the box, came after a build-up of 29 passes, the second-most recorded for a Champions League goal by Arsenal since the 2003-04 season. This victory was significant as it allowed Arsenal to start their group phase campaign positively, following a perfect record in the previous season's group stage.
