This marks the second consecutive year Barkley has been listed as the player with the longest odds in the field.

Defending champion Joe Pavelski is favored at 3 to 1, while Stephen Curry and John Smoltz are the second-best contenders at 7 to 2. Despite his longshot status, Barkley has become an unexpected liability for Caesar Sportsbook due to his significant weight loss and recent performance improvements, including a 58th place finish in 2024 and a 69th place finish the previous year.

John Smoltz noted that Barkley is underrated given his improvements, stating that he looks great and raises the bar for odd makers, who do not expect Barkley to crack the top 63 in this year's event.
