Éric Chelle Calls Up Otomewo and Osuji for Russia Match
Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has announced two changes to his squad for the upcoming international friendly against Russia. France-based midfielder John Otomewo and defender Vince Osuji have been called up to replace captain Wilfred Ndidi and Akpe Victory.
Otomewo recently joined French Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims from Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Jerusalem, while Osuji currently plays for Norwegian club Tromsø. Both players are looking to make their international debuts when Nigeria faces Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium next Tuesday.
In their previous encounter on June 6, 2025, the Super Eagles and Russia played to a 1-1 draw at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
