Chelsea Edges Leeds in 9-Goal Carabao Cup Thriller

The match saw Chelsea initially fall behind as Leeds took a 2-0 lead, with Tarik Muharemović scoring from a corner in the 23rd minute and Brenden Aaranson doubling the lead shortly after halftime.

Manager Xabi Alonso made significant changes, resting his entire attacking line and starting 16-year-old Reggie Watson. At halftime, Alonso introduced four players, including Cole Palmer, Reece James, Pedro Neto, and Morgan Rogers, who ignited a comeback.

Palmer converted a penalty in the 53rd minute and equalized shortly after. Neto scored in the 60th minute, followed by Danny Welbeck's goal five minutes later.

Leeds' Dominic Calvert-Lewin reduced the deficit, but Valentin Barco scored his first goal for Chelsea, and Welbeck completed his brace in added time. Chelsea awaits their next opponent following a draw scheduled for September 16.
