Chelsea Defeats Brighton 4-3 to Stay Perfect in EPL

Chelsea FC defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-3 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, maintaining their perfect start to the Premier League season. Romeo Lavia opened the scoring in the fourth minute after Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen failed to hold a blocked header.

Pedro Neto doubled the lead shortly after, and Joao Pedro added a third goal against his former club in the 32nd minute. Brighton responded with a goal from Malick Yalcouye before halftime.

In the second half, Pascal Gross scored for Brighton, but Chelsea restored their two-goal advantage with a strike from Cole Palmer in the 74th minute. Gross scored again for Brighton, but they could not equalize.

Emiliano Martinez made his Chelsea debut after a £7.5 million transfer, showcasing his skills with several crucial saves despite conceding three goals. Chelsea's next match is against defending champions Arsenal on September 6.
