Chelsea Sacks Liam Rosenior After Poor Performance Run

Chelsea Football Club announced the dismissal of head coach Liam Rosenior on Wednesday, just 107 days after his appointment. The decision follows a disappointing streak of five consecutive Premier League defeats during which the club failed to score.

The statement from Chelsea emphasized that the decision was not taken lightly and acknowledged Rosenior's professionalism and efforts during his tenure. Rosenior had been appointed in January on a six-year contract, replacing Enzo Maresca.

The club is currently seven points off a Champions League place and is still in contention for the FA Cup. Calum McFarlan will take charge as interim head coach until the end of the season, starting with the FA Cup semi-final against Leeds at Wembley.
