Chioma Ikejiani Appointed NCCS National Chair

Chioma Ikejiani has been appointed as the national chair of the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS), succeeding the late Professor Ronald Bejid. This appointment, announced on Monday, underscores Ikejiani's extensive leadership credentials and commitment to advancing cancer care and survivorship in Nigeria.

A 10-year stage 4 breast cancer survivor, she is recognized for her advocacy in oncology reform and has led initiatives to improve the efficiency and transparency of cancer treatment funding. Ikejiani previously served as a strategic liaison for the Cancer Health Fund and has collaborated with the National Hospital in Abuja and the National Institute of Cancer Research and Treatment.

Her career spans media, real estate, and public engagement, and she has produced platforms focused on health education and cancer awareness. Ikejiani holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from St.

Mary's University, Canada, and has been involved in high-level policy engagement, including initiatives with the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria.
