Dr. Elsie Nonyelum Nwokolo Becomes WoWiCAN Chairperson

Dr. Elsie Nonyelum Nwokolo has been inaugurated as the new Chairperson of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WoWiCAN) for Anambra State.

The inauguration took place at Sharon House in Onitsha, where Dr. Nwokolo, the wife of Right Reverend Dr.

Owen Nwokolo of the Anglican Communion, described the occasion as a moment to renew and reaffirm commitment to faith and service. She assured that the new executive will lead with integrity, humility, and courage, focusing on collaboration, mentorship, and capacity building among members.

Dr. Nwokolo called for programs to empower women and strengthen their voices in societal discourse.

She emphasized the need for unity among Christian women and urged them to embrace humility and service, highlighting the critical role women play in nation-building by referencing biblical figures such as Esther, Deborah, and Priscilla. The new executive is tasked with ensuring that their impact extends beyond their tenure.
