Chippa United Confirms Stanley Nwabali's Departure

Chippa United has officially announced the exit of Nigerian international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali after a mutual agreement. The announcement was made on Thursday, indicating that Nwabali's departure had been anticipated.

However, since this exit occurs outside the transfer window, he will not automatically become a free agent unless an agreement is reached by the January cut-off. The club did not specify the terms of the agreement.

Chippa United acknowledged Nwabali's desire to leave and commended his efforts, expressing gratitude for his professional attitude during his tenure. Nwabali joined Chippa United in 2022 and quickly became an indispensable player, earning a call-up to Nigeria's national team, the Super Eagles, as the number one goalkeeper in the last two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.

He has featured in 76 games for Chippa, including 12 in the current campaign. Following his exit, Dumisani Msibi and Elson Sithole are expected to compete for the goalkeeper position.
