Church Urges Tinubu to Address Hunger and Insecurity

During the Church's 60th annual national convention held in Kaduna, Kiri made an appeal to President Tinubu to tackle pressing issues of hunger and insecurity affecting the nation. He warned that persistent violence and food shortages are placing severe strain on communities, lamenting the continued killing of church members across various parts of the country.

Kiri advocated for proactive, intelligence-driven operations to better protect lives and property, urging the federal government to prioritize agricultural support and provide subsidies to farmers to boost food production. He described the current situation as a moral challenge requiring immediate decisive action.

The convention's theme focused on unity among Christians, with Kiri highlighting the need for reform in theological education, administration, and infrastructure development within the Church. He also encouraged active Christian participation in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging members to obtain voter cards and engage at leadership levels.
