Nigerian NGOs Demand Budget Transparency Amid Concerns Over Fiscal Management

Several Nigerian civil society organizations, including CISLAC, BudgIT, CSJ, and ANEEJ, have criticized the lack of transparency in budget implementation under President Bola Tinubu's administration. They expressed concerns over breaches in the budget process, lack of popular participation, and the repeal and reenactment of budget acts without public availability.

The organizations demand full compliance with the constitution, transparency in government spending, and immediate publication of budget estimates and related bills on official websites.
