Cleric Claims Spiritual Transformation After 1980 Robbery

Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, a cleric from the Church of Christ in Nations, publicly recounted his past involvement in a bank robbery that occurred in 1980 in Plateau State, Nigeria. In a recent interview with foreign media, he described how he was part of a gang that successfully executed the robbery, which yielded a substantial amount of money.

Dachomo claimed that he was unaware of the operation's violent nature until a spiritual encounter with Jesus, during which he witnessed seven angels striking down his enemies. He stated that this experience marked a turning point in his life, leading him to abandon his criminal activities and embrace a religious path.

However, his testimony has sparked controversy, with Sheikh Yusuf Haruna Baban Chinedu accusing him of fabricating his story and labeling him a hypocrite. Baban Chinedu challenged Dachomo's claims, asserting that he was not present during the events he described and questioning the authenticity of his transformation.
