ECWA Confirms Abduction of Retired Pastor in Jos

The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has confirmed the abduction of retired pastor Sundai Agang in Jos, Plateau State. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday when six armed men invaded Agang's residence in the Farin Gada area of Jos North Local Government.

According to Dickson Auta, the church's public relations officer, the attack occurred around 5:00 AM while the family was asleep. The assailants held the family members hostage at gunpoint and took the retired pastor away to an unknown location.

The family raised an alarm, but the kidnappers fled in a vehicle. As of the time of the report, the abductor had not established contact with the family, and efforts by security agencies to trace the kidnappers were ongoing.

ECWA condemned the increasing violence against its clergy, particularly in Plateau and Kwara states, and called for calm and prayers from the public.
