Almeyda Calls Yamal the Best Player Ahead of Barcelona Clash

Matias Almeyda, the manager of Sevilla FC, has lauded FC Barcelona's teenage sensation Lamine Yamal as the best player in the world ahead of their La Liga clash at Camp Nou on Sunday. Barcelona, currently leading the league, is looking to bounce back from a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Almeyda acknowledged the challenges his team will face against Barcelona, who sit at the top of the table, while Sevilla currently occupies the 14th position. Despite being just 18 years old, Yamal has already established himself as one of football's brightest stars, finishing as a runner-up in the Ballon d'Or voting last season.

He has continued to impress across competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 15 assists in 37 appearances.
