Lamine Yamal Expected to Recover for World Cup

Lamine Yamal, an 18-year-old forward for Barcelona, suffered a hamstring injury to his left leg during the team's 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo on Wednesday, where he was injured while attempting to signal to the bench. Following the injury, he was assisted off the pitch by medical staff and taken down the tunnel for treatment.

Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that Yamal will follow a conservative treatment plan and will miss the remainder of the league season. However, the club expects him to return in time for the World Cup.

Yamal expressed his disappointment on Instagram, stating he felt hurt for not being able to support his teammates when needed but remains determined to return stronger. Barcelona currently leads La Liga, nine points clear of rivals Real Madrid, with six games remaining.

Spain's World Cup campaign begins on June 15 against Cape Verde.
