Coalition will collapse by September – Sole ADC reps member drops fresh hint

Leke Abejide, the sole African Democratic Congress (ADC) member in the House of Representatives, hinted that the opposition coalition, which the party is a part of, will collapse by September. Abejide, representing Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, stated on a TV program that the coalition failed to secure a single seat on August 16, signaling its downfall.

He emphasized that the attempt to hijack the ADC by some members of the coalition would not succeed, as the party remained strong. Notable figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi were not part of the ADC, despite joining the coalition.

Abejide dismissed the coalition as a gathering of selfish politicians with no serious plan for Nigeria, calling their ambitions to use the ADC in the 2023 elections a daydream.
