NDDC Boss Urges Students to Collect PVCs for Elections

Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), urged students in tertiary institutions across the Niger Delta region to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to influence electoral decisions. He made this statement during the launch of the "Project New Nigeria" voter registration sensitization program organized by the Foundation for Citizen Empowerment in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Ogbuku emphasized that the PVC is a key tool for influencing the selection of leaders whose values align with the aspirations of Nigerian youth. He described participation in elections as a demonstration of citizens' belief in the country's potential for growth and development.

Ogbuku noted that the NDDC, as an interventionist agency, will continue to support initiatives that promote civic participation and empower young people. The program aims to strengthen democracy and educate voters, encouraging students to actively participate in the electoral process.
