Comedian Broda Shaggi Hospitalized After Shooting Incident

Samuel Perri, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, a well-known Nigerian comedian and skit maker, was reportedly hospitalized after being shot in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred while he was filming a skit near the Sango Ota bridge.

Following the shooting, crew members quickly transported him to Bloom Care Hospital located in the Alakuko area of Lagos State for medical treatment. A spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that police were alerted about a gunshot victim being brought to the hospital.

Medical personnel administered first aid before referring him to a more specialized facility. The injuries were reported to be located in his thigh.

The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated that there has not yet been an official report regarding the incident, and efforts to reach Broda Shaggi's manager, Olufemi Oguntamu, known as Penzaar, have been unsuccessful. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
