Real Warri Pikin Cancels Show Over Ethnic Divisions

Comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has canceled her planned show in Warri, Delta State, citing "unfortunate divisions" among ethnic groups in the state. In a statement on Instagram, she expressed her disappointment over the persistent disunity, particularly among the Ijaws, Urhobos, and Itsekiris.

Real Warri Pikin described her experience as an entertainer from Delta State as "very exhausting" due to these tribal divisions. She recounted that an indigene of the event center threatened to disrupt her show because promotional materials referred to it as being in Warri, insisting it should be labeled as "Real Warri Pikin live in Uvwie," highlighting the distinction between the two areas.

She faced demands to remove promotional materials and was warned that the event would be disrupted. The controversy surrounding the event left her feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
