Fani-Kayode Defends Tinubu Against Momodu's Criticism

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, criticized media personality Dele Momodu for his remarks comparing President Bola Tinubu's leadership style to that of former military ruler General Sani Abacha. In an interview, Momodu described Tinubu's administration as dictatorial, prompting Fani-Kayode to label the comparison as unfair and disrespectful to the presidency.

He expressed immense respect for Tinubu and suggested that Momodu should strive to elevate political commentary rather than engage in uncharitable criticism. Fani-Kayode also admonished members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to focus on building a credible opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections, instead of obsessively criticizing the president.

He metaphorically described the ADC as a sinking ship lacking essential resources for survival in the political landscape, emphasizing the need for character, intelligence, discipline, and strength in their approach.
