Fani-Kayode Critiques Momodu's Tinubu-Abacha Comparison

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, criticized media personality and politician Dele Momodu for his recent comments comparing President Bola Tinubu to former military ruler Sani Abacha. This comparison arose during an interview where Momodu expressed concerns about Tinubu's leadership style, describing it as authoritarian.

Fani-Kayode responded by labeling Momodu's statement as unfair and not reflective of the current administration's reality. He suggested that Momodu should take a break from political commentary to regain perspective.

Fani-Kayode argued that equating a democratically elected government with a military regime is misleading and undermines the efforts of elected officials. He also addressed the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urging the party to focus on strengthening its structure in preparation for the 2027 general elections, criticizing its current state as ineffective and lacking the necessary resources to challenge the ruling party.
