Speaker Tajudeen Launches Solar Projects for Zaria Facilities

Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, initiated the installation of solar energy systems to power essential public facilities in Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State. This initiative was unveiled during a ceremony in Zaria, where he commissioned a 110 kVA solar installation at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Kongo Campus and broke ground for several projects, including an International Conference Hall and a modern skills acquisition centre.

Speaker Tajudeen expressed gratitude to the people of Zaria for their support and emphasized the importance of reliable power for hospitals, schools, and security posts. He stated that the solar systems would be managed by trained young constituents, ensuring local capacity building.

The Speaker underscored the goal of the skills acquisition centre to equip young people with the tools and training necessary for employment, thereby fostering economic development within the community.
