Contractors Protest Unpaid Debts at Finance Ministry in Abuja

Local contractors staged a peaceful protest at the entrance of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja, alleging delays in payment of outstanding debts for projects already executed. The contractors accused the government of constant delays and non-payment, affecting the completion of several nationwide projects.

President Bola Tinubu directed a committee to address the contractors' grievances, while the Senate invited the Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, to explain the circumstances surrounding the alleged non-payment of debts.
