Controversial Lagos Doctor Arrested in UK for Recording Sexual Acts

Dr. Olufemi Olaley, a British citizen and former medical director of Optim Cancer Care Foundation in Lagos, was arrested at Gatwick Airport upon arrival from Nigeria.

He faces three charges of voyeurism related to secretly recording sexual acts during his time as an obstetrics and gynecology practitioner at Darent Valley Hospital in the UK. Olaley denies the charges and has been remanded in custody in the UK pending further legal proceedings.

This arrest follows previous sexual assault allegations in Lagos State in 2022. The case is scheduled for a review in January 2026 at Maidstone Magistrates' Court.
