APC Chairman Highlights Youth Surge and Reforms in Abuja

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was screened in Abuja, where he praised the party's reforms and the increasing youth membership, which now accounts for 50% of its members aged 18 to 35. He noted that the party has distinguished itself by strengthening due process and ensuring transparency within its operations.

The chairman expressed appreciation for the support from party stakeholders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the past eight months. He highlighted the party's growth, revealing that its membership has reached 12 million, and emphasized the importance of improving women's representation, aiming for a 35% affirmative action target within the party structure.

The chairman also pointed out the APC's electoral victories across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones and the need to consolidate the party's gains in future elections. Ajibola Basiru, the APC national secretary, pledged to deepen internal cohesion and promote justice and equity among party members.
