APC Screening Committee Promises Credible Congress in Lagos

Barrister Nungjab Salama, the chair of the APC screening committee, assured that the upcoming congress in Lagos State will be credible and fair. Speaking at a press conference held at the Lagos APC Secretariat in Ogba, Salama highlighted the committee's commitment to thoroughly screening candidates to ensure that only qualified individuals are elected.

He acknowledged the tedious nature of the electoral process but emphasized the importance of adhering to the electoral act. Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the APC chairman in Lagos State, commended the committee members for their dedication and urged them to conduct the congress in a manner that would move the party forward.

Salama expressed confidence that the screening process would successfully navigate the challenges ahead, particularly in engaging youth and women leaders within the party. The congress is scheduled for Saturday, and the committee aims to ensure a transparent and credible election of ward and local government executives.
