COP30 Presidency Unveils Roadmap for Climate Action

The COP30 Presidency, led by Andr Corr Lago, has released an executive report detailing steps to accelerate global climate implementation following the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Brazil in November. The conference saw participation from nearly every country, resulting in the adoption of 56 decisions aimed at reaffirming commitments to advance global climate action.

The roadmap developed by the COP30 Presidency focuses on transitioning away from fossil fuels in an orderly and equitable manner, identifying opportunities for international dialogue, and establishing pathways to halt deforestation and forest degradation by 2030. The roadmap aims to mobilize $1.3 trillion in climate finance to enable the implementation of the Paris Agreement, particularly for developing countries.

The COP30 Presidency emphasizes the importance of international cooperation and ongoing engagement among governments, businesses, and civil society to sustain momentum in addressing climate change.
