Coronation Infrastructure Fund 2025 Annual Report: 23.27% Return
Coronation Infrastructure Fund (CNIF) filed its 2025 Annual Report on the Nigerian Exchange, covering the fund's first full year of operations ended 31 December 2025. The report details financial performance, income distributions, portfolio activity, and the fund's strategic priorities for 2026.
Coronation Infrastructure Fund (CIF) recorded a total return of 23.27% for the year ended 31 December 2025, its first full year of operations. The fund's performance was driven by interest income from investments in the Energy and Transportation sectors, both of which reached financial close during the year.
The fund made two income distributions in January and July 2025, totalling ₦1.72 billion. Committed investment pipeline exposure exceeded ₦64 billion across six focus sectors: Energy, Transportation, Utilities, Real Estate, Social Infrastructure, and Telecommunications.
On the policy front, the National Pension Commission (PenCom) revised investment guidelines to allow Pension Fund Administrators to allocate up to 25% of their portfolios to infrastructure funds. The report also noted Nigeria's exit from the FATF grey list, sovereign credit rating upgrades, and the enactment of the Tax Act 2025 as developments during the period.
For 2026, the fund stated priorities including deployment of capital across its pipeline, which it described as containing over ₦50 billion in committed and advanced-stage opportunities, and expanding participation from Development Finance Institutions and Pension Fund Administrators. CIF is listed on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange.
