15-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in Gombe Bush, Police Investigate Possible Homicide

The tragic incident involves the discovery of the lifeless body of 15-year-old Aisha Abubakar in a bush on the outskirts of Kwami Local Government Area in Gombe. The victim's father, Malam Abubakar, alleged that his daughter was the victim of culpable homicide.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, Aisha was last seen on Sunday, January 26, 2026, when she failed to return home after being sent to buy soya beans. Her body was discovered on Tuesday in the bush, showing signs of violence.

The police have evacuated the corpse for medical examination to determine the cause of death and have commenced investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
