Nigerian Official Links Insecurity to Neighboring Country Coups

A Nigerian government official, Maj Gen Garba Laka, from the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC), highlighted the impact of military coups in Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali on Nigeria's security. The official stated that these coups have exacerbated extremist activities and kidnappings in the region, with terrorist groups exploiting Nigeria's economic capacity.
