Trial within trial set for UN House bombing suspects in Abuja

The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled December 5 for a trial within trial for five defendants, including Al-Barnawi, accused of the 2011 UN House bombing in Abuja. The trial within trial aims to determine the authenticity of video clips showing the defendants making statements allegedly under duress by the State Security Service (DSS).

Al-Barnawi and four other terror suspects face charges related to the bombing, with delays in the trial due to legal procedures. The court granted the DSS's request for an accelerated hearing of the case.
