Court Fixes Nov 20 for Judgment in Nnamdi Kanu’s Terrorism Trial

The Federal High Court in Abuja has scheduled November 20 for the judgment in the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Justice James Omotosho announced the date after ruling that Kanu forfeited his right to defend himself by not presenting a defense within the given timeframe.

Kanu faces terrorism-related charges brought by the federal government. The court emphasized that Kanu can no longer claim denial of his constitutional right to a fair hearing.

The judgment is highly anticipated and will be delivered later this month.
