Court Freezes Mars Aviation Ltd's Account Over Alleged NNPCL Fraud

The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the temporary freezing of Mars Aviation Ltd's account over alleged links to fraud at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). The court granted the order following a motion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) citing criminal misappropriation and money laundering.

The EFCC sought the freezing of the account pending the conclusion of the investigation. The account, with number 5250350283 C03651082, is currently under investigation for alleged financial impropriety.

The EFCC investigator, Abdulganiyu Olayide, affirmed the agency's commitment to uncovering financial crimes.
