Bauchi Finance Commissioner Granted Bail Over N5.7bn Fraud Allegations

The Federal High Court in Abuja granted bail to Bauchi State Finance Commissioner, Yakubu Adamu, accused of involvement in a N5.7 billion fraud case. Adamu faces charges of money laundering and diverting funds earmarked for motorcycle supply in Bauchi State.

The court set bail at N500 million with strict conditions. The case is scheduled to commence on January 20.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleges that Adamu diverted funds despite contracts not being executed.
