Court Orders PDP to Proceed with National Convention in Ibadan Amid Legal Battle

The High Court in Oyo State has ordered the PDP to continue with its national convention scheduled for November 15-16, 2025, in Ibadan, overturning a previous restraining order from the Federal High Court in Abuja. The ruling came after an ex parte application by Folahan Malomo and Adelabi to counter the earlier order.

Three PDP members had filed a suit alleging a breach of the party's constitution in convention preparations. The plaintiffs sought to restrain the party's leadership and INEC from proceeding with the convention.
